About Us

For more than 25 years, the Alzheimer Society of B.C. has played an important role in the lives of people with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia, their families and caregivers.

We're a leading voice for British Columbians whose lives have been impacted by dementia, and we're committed to a high standard of ethics that reflect our core values.

We're also part of a national federation that's working to alleviate the personal and social consequences of the disease, while promoting research into the causes and the search for a cure. Learn more...

"I chose to draw a picture that demonstrates the river of life. I wanted to show that going through the disease there is still hope. As life passes through the years, the sunset slowly occurs. Yet as the memory fades in Alzheimer’s disease there is a glimmer of hope with the rising of the sun."
