While he doesn't have a stated position on dementia care, new Minister of Healh Services Kevin Falcon said in a recent interview with the Vancouver Sun that he thinks we need to change the status quo for healthcare in B.C. "That is really what I hope to bring to the table, a willingness to really look at everything we're doing and trying to determine whether there are lessons to be learned either in other provinces or around the world that we can adopt in British Columbia to deliver better patient care and hopefully manage the costs more successfully than we have thus far." |
