Each of the Walks is dedicated to an Honouree – a person who has been impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.

This
Investors Group Walk for Memories was dedicated to all caregivers.
Caring for people with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia is a demanding and sometimes difficult journey, requiring hard work, patience and compassion.
Caregivers may be spouses, children, family
members, or paid professionals, but they are all unsung heroes who persevere in the face of this disease.
Caregiving is ongoing and usually round-the-clock. Caregivers work tirelessly, and the work they do is invaluable.
“All in one year, I felt the loss of my mother to dementia, and also the impact of my husband’s failing health due to dementia. If it were not for the caring and educational support of the Alzheimer Society to walk beside and guide me through, one day at a time, I would definitely not be here to give others the support that they need,” said Sandy, who is caring for her husband.
