Volunteer applicants complete a volunteer form, which asks for basic information, interests and the names and contact information for two references The appropriate application form is attached to each position listed below.

Volunteer applicants interested in support roles will be asked to provide a criminal record check. More information on this is provided at the volunteer interview.

Prospect Research Assistant Working with the Donor Relations Officer, Major Gifts, the Prospect Research volunteer will assist with research to support the short- and long-term goals of major donors identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities. Mid-term

Program Assistant, Minds In Motion program  This fitness and social program for individuals experiencing early stage memory loss, requires an assistant to help coordinate set  up / take down and, most importantly, assist attendees with their participation. Mid-term

Support Group Facilitator A support group facilitator (or co-facilitator) facilitates a caregiver support group meeting, communicates with the local Support and Education Coordinator on a regular basis, maintains group attendance records and use Alzheimer Society materials to provide information to the group. Long Term – 1 year minimum is requested Burnaby (North Fraser Resource Centre)

 



 

Most (though not all) of our volunteer positions require a time commitment of at least 3 to 4 hours a week, for six months or more.
